ABSTRACT
 India is 2nd most populated country in the world and the birth rate is very high.
According to WHO survey’s, in India every year 26 million infants are born. Out
of 26 million 2.6 Million infants are prematurely born with low birth weight
(LBW).
 In this project, design of a low-cost system for monitoring and control of incubator
and radiant warmer is discussed. Vital parameters like air and body temperature,
heart rate and humidity level are continuously measured.
 On basis of this a servo control is implemented to regulate the heat output of the
heating element in the machine to maintain a constant temperature. Facility is
provided to monitoring and control the machine locally using a touch screen based
operator’s console as well as remotely over internet.
 A dedicated web server maintains the data in real time and give access to doctor or
any authorized medical personal to monitor and control the machine. Facility is
also provided to generate alarm both locally in terms audible notification and
remotely in terms of a SMS.
 Completed system has been designed on Arduino UNO platform. Proposed system
does not incur substantial rise in the cost compared to cost of existing machines
without such facilities and is certainly a cheaper solution compared to such high-
end machines available in market.

EXISTING SYSTEM
 In Existing system it requires a experienced nurses or
authorized medical personal to monitor the baby condition and
it doesn’t optimize the temperature level depending on the
interior incubator and exterior environment.

Draw Backs :
 The Existing system uses a manual methods to set a
temperature level, It requires a human to take care of the
baby’s health condition inside the incubator. So there is a
chance of human error which may led to fatal end for a baby.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
 In proposed system the incubator will be controlled and
monitored over 24/7 with alert messaging system in case of
any emergency condition. The entire incubator system will be
remotely controlled by internet based system.

Advantages:
 The Advantages of proposed system is the entire system is
fully automated and it will automatically optimize the system
conditions like temperature levels respect to environment and
baby’s favor, and eliminates the chance of human errors and
reduces human need.
