A comprehensive examination
covering the six (6) board subject
areas will be administered after the
completion of the program.
POA RULES
A. POA Requirements:
1. Notebook
2. Attendance
3. Pre-Test/Post Test every lecture
4. Periodical Exams & Final Exam
5. Uniform
1. NOTEBOOK
- every student is required to
have their notebook for note
taking during POA Lectures
- notebook will be checked every
periodical
2. Attendance
- attendance will be strictly
monitored during POA
Lectures.
- Students must affixed their
signature on the attendance
sheet provided in every lecture.
- Attendance 15 minutes before
the opening of the class
- Random check 15 minutes before the
end of every class
Absences
- Only acceptable absences will be
given consideration (e.g. accident,
sickness, emergency) provided
with valid proof or evidence.
*A student who will be absent
(with no valid reason) on the
lecture of a certain subject/s,
will not be allowed to take the
covered pre-test/post-test.
• Seven (7) consecutive or
cumulative absences will
be a ground for FA
remarks/rating.
GRADING SYSTEM
Class Standing Composition
1. Pre-test & Post-test every subject - 40%
2. Pre-periodical Exam - 60%
TOTAL: 100%
Periodical Grade
The 1st Periodical Grade is
computed as follows:
P1 = (CS x 2) + (P1E)

Periodical Grade
The 2nd Periodical Grade is
computed as follows:
P2 = (CS x 2 ) + (P2E) + (P1G)

The 3rd Periodical Grade is
computed as follows:
P3 = (CS x 2 ) + (PE3) + (P2G)

Final Grade
FG = (0.17 x P1) + (0.17
x P2) + (0.16 x P3) +
(0.50 x FE)
Board Subject
Areas
The 37 components are divided into
six (6) board subject areas namely:
1. Criminology
2. Law Enforcement Administration
3. Forensic Science
4. Crime Detection and Investigation
5. Correctional Administration
6. Criminal Law & Jurisprudence
The student must get a raw score
of 60 in each board subject areas
for him/her to pass.
3. If a student gets below 60 in one
or two board areas, a re-exam will
be given, provided that he/she will
get a raw score of 70 on the failed
one or two board areas.
4. If a student gets below
60 in three board subject
areas, he or she will be
considered FAILED.
5. Periodical grades will be based on the
scores of the following board subject areas:
P1 grade - Criminology and LEA
P2 grade - CDI and Forensics
P3 grade - CorAd and CLJ
Final exam score will be 50%
of the final grade. Provided,
the passing score is 60.

Any forms of dishonesty among
the students will be dealt
accordingly based on the existing
policies of the department.
