PHYSICAL QUANTITY

AND ITS TYPE


• LENGTH (L) :- The measurement or extent of something from end tareater
of two or the greatest of three dimensions of an object. The SI unit of length is
Meter (m). There Are 4 units of length inches (in), feet (ft), yards (yd) and
miles (mi).

• MASS :- Mass is the amount of matter or substance that makes up an object.


It is measured in units called kilograms,unit of mass are gram (g) , kilogram
(kg) , Tonne (t).
• Time :- Time is the continued sequence of existence and events that occurs
in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the
present, into the future. The SI unit of time is second . The units of time
are Millisecond, seconds,minutes, hour, Day. The formula for time is time
= distance /speed .

• Area :- Area is the quantity that expresses the extent of a two-


dimensional region, shape, or planar lamina, in the plane. Surface area is
its analog on the two-dimensional surface of a three-dimensional
object.The Si unit of area is square meter (m2). The units of area are
Millimetre (mm) , centimetre (cm),meter (m) , kilometer (km) . The
formula of area is Area = (1/2 × b ×h).
