You only ever need to


remove two zeroes when
dividing by 100.

Rajesh is incorrect. Although sometimes it appears that two zeroes are


removed when dividing by 100, the number moves two places to the right on
a place value grid.

‘Removing two zeroes’ can often lead to incorrect answers.

e.g. 12.500 ÷ 100 is not 12.5.
