Salvation by Grace
Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich
in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we
were dead in transgressions– it is by grace you
have been saved.
From the fullness of his grace we have all
received one blessing after another.
For the law was given through Moses;
grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
For if the many died by the trespass of the
one man, how much more did God’s grace
and the gift that came by the grace of the
one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
The law was added so that the trespass might
increase.
But where sin increased,
grace increased all the more,
So that just as sin reigned in death,
So also grace might reign through
righteousness to bring eternal life through
Jesus Christ Our Lord.
God raised us up with Christ and seated us with
him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.
In order that in the coming ages he might
show the incomparable riches of his grace,
expressed in his kindness to us in Christ
Jesus.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through
faith– and this not from yourselves,
It is the gift of God–
not by works, so that no one can boast.
