Abstract
 Skin illnesses can now be identified much more rapidly and precisely because of improvements in
laser and photonics-based medical technologies. Nonetheless, the expense of such a diagnosis is
still prohibitive and high. so imagine
 This project focuses on developing a machine learning-based system for the detection of skin
diseases.
 The system utilizes a dataset of labeled images depicting various skin conditions and employs
convolutional neural networks and transfer learning techniques for classification.
 The system achieves high accuracy and holds promise as a valuable tool for early detection and
diagnosis of skin diseases, aiding in timely and accurate treatment. Further improvements and
features are planned for future development.
Introduction
 Skin diseases, affecting 1 billion people globally, require prompt identification and treatment to
prevent complications, including fatal skin cancers, caused by viruses, germs, allergies, and
fungal infections.
 Recent developments integrate machine learning and image processing into dermatology,
offering efficient diagnosis and classification of skin diseases. This addresses challenges arising
from delayed recognition, particularly in cases where public awareness of medicine is limited.
 While traditional diagnostic methods, including lasers, enable faster identification of skin
illnesses, their prohibitive costs persist. Exploring how ML and image processing transform skin
disease detection may provide more accessible and severity level of the disease.
 The project aims to create a model which can detect the severity of skin diseases using machine
learning (ML) and image processing methods.
Related Work
 Georey E. Hinton Alex Krizhevsky, Ilya Sutskever. A system is suggested for the color image-based
dissection of skin disorders without the requirement for medical assistance. The method has two
stages: the first involves identifying diseased skin using color image processing, k-means
clustering, and color gradient algorithms, and the second involves classifying the disease kind using
artificial neural networks.
 Chakraborty, Shouvik, et al. "Detection of skin disease using metaheuristic supported artificial
neural networks." The research paper focuses on developing a technique to classify common skin
diseases using digital images, utilizing artificial neural network. However, potential disadvantages
of this approach may include computational complexity, resource requirements, and limitations in
generalizing the model's classification abilities beyond the specific diseases considered in the study
(angioma, basal cell carcinoma, and lentigo simplex).
Proposed Work

The proposed approach for diagnosing skin diseases leverages deep learning techniques, particularly
Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) renowned for their prowess in image recognition tasks. Training
CNN’s on a sizable dataset of skin photos enables them to learn indicative features of various skin
disorders facilitating accurate identification. Transfer learning and data augmentation further enhance
model accuracy by leveraging pre-trained models and expanding the training dataset respectively.
Additionally, complementary methods such as texture analysis, color-based analysis, and feature-based
analysis are considered for identifying specific features associated with skin illnesses. However, deep
learning-based methodologies have shown the most promising results in recent studies making them the
preferred technique for detecting skin diseases .

Implementation & Methodology
System requirements
The following library releases were utilized:
 Numpy 1.0.4
 CV2 4.5.4
 Sklearn 1.0
 Keras 2.4.0
 Matplotlib 3.4.2
 OS 2.1.4
The platform versions are as follows:-
 Python 3.10.0
Implementation & Methodology
1.We need to collect a dataset of images of skin problems that includes annotations outlining the condition's severity.
The collection of dataset is diverse and contain images with different skin tones and levels of sickness severity.
2. Import the required packages for the classification model.
3. Creating a project and loading the dataset from the file which is based on the collection of data from various
platform.
4. Data Preprocessing:
 Remove noise and unimporatant information from the data.
 Improve the aspects of photographs using Image Processing Techniques.
5. Data Cleaning:
 Handling missing entries in dataset.
 Eliminating duplicate values.
Implementation & Methodology
6. The features required for the diagnosis of skin diseases must be extracted from the preprocessed photos.
7. The severity level of the skin illness must be classified using the retrieved features. The data models used to build
the model are:
 Convolutional Neural Networks.
 Mobilenet.
 Capsnet
8. Training the model using the modelling tools which were trained and tested using the dataset.
9. Analyzing the outcomes of sentiment analysis.
10. Checking results and Drawing inferences
Results

From the dataset we will consider an image and we will try to predict the severity of the image after training of our model.
Conclusion & Future Work

 Algorithms for machine learning might have an impact on the early detection of
skin disorders. If correctly implemented, the strategies will surely provide
adequate help and a cohesive strategy to preventing skin disorders.
 The examination of skin disease identification using recent advances in AI and
the benefits of diagnosis helped by AI will be made possible by future real-time
data availability.
