OCC:

staff shortage
7. Structured approaches for community awareness involving the religious leaders
8. Establishing shelter home for survivors

WFS:
1. Women learning center – women can enhance their capacity on literacy who are
out of education facilities.
2. Indoor recreational Activities.
3. PSS group session
4. Technical Skill Development through PSS activities.

OCC:

Stakeholders (Different stakeholders like CMO, RMO, UH&FPO,UNO etc)
Reflections/Feedback about RRP Program in 2023
Stakeholders:
CMO:
ActionAid has created a safe zone for community women and girls where they can
get their desired services (Indoor and outdoor awareness session, PSS session ,
recreational activities, Midwifery service etc. ) and get proper information and they
can complain if there is any complain.
As ActionAid is a only service provider working in GBV response area in camp 12,
they are doing this with passion. Since GBV response service is a sensitive area, I
was aware of the quality of their work, and I found they have very high-quality staff
and staff are also coordinating with me accordingly.
Recommendation:
• Storage sufficient family planning kits.
• Arranging couple counselling for family planning.
Investigation Officer’s quote of Kutubdia Thana:
Earlier it was very difficult to provide services to rape victims as there was no CMR
procedure in the hospital but now CMR procedure is done by UHC doctors at OCC
maintaining the confidentiality of the survivor .Thanks to the hospital authorities and
the OCC team, our suffering has been greatly reduced as now we do not have to go
to the district Sadar hospital for sample identification, ‘Investigation officer said.
Stakeholders (Different stakeholders like CMO, RMO, UH&FPO,UNO etc)
Reflections/Feedback about RRP Program in 2023
Hospital Authorities quote of Kutubdia Health Complex:
UH&FPO said that,”OCC is an important part like other services of the hospital and
OCC now makes it easier for survivors to reach out and avail the needed services as
per priorities, so all of you are requested to coordinate and support each other to
ensure quality services”.
Chairman’s Quote of Kutubdia Upazila:
We were already aware of OCC. OCC is the best platform to provide services to
abused women where women get a good environment to share their stories’,
Chairman said.
• Using visible materials/IEC materials during school session
• Appreciated the quality of work/implementation
• Highly engaging staff
RMO of Moheskhali recommend that:
Once before the establishment of OCC, the people of Maheshkhali could not get
survivor support, nor were they aware of the services provided for GBV survivors.
People of Maheshkhali feel that OCC services are very effective and they build trust
in OCC. Therefore OCC services should be sustained for the further needs of the
people of Maheshkhali.
