What is editing?

• Editing is like refining the story, making sure it flows


well and makes sense.
• Editing corrects issues at the core of writing like
sentence construction and language clarity. A thorough
editing will help improve the readability, clarity, and
tone of the text.
What is proofreading?

• Proofreading is checking for little mistakes like


typos and grammar errors.
• It is the very last stage of the writing process,
when you fix minor spelling and punctuation
mistakes, typos, formatting issues and
inconsistencies.
