PRESENT INDEFINITE
• SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE:
Simple Present tense is used to describe a General truth or A regular action.

• Structure:
Sub + verb + obj
Sub + Do/Does + verb + obj
Do: I/You/We/They
Does: He/She/It
Negative:
After “do/does” we add “not”
Interrogative:
Start with “do/does” and after sub add “do” and “?” at the end of sentence. 2
PRESENT INDEFINITE

• Example:
 She works at a book store.
 I do my homework everyday.
 Ali does not play cricket.
 We worships Allah.

Passive voice of present Indefinite

• Structure :
Obj + H/V + V(1) +by + Sub
Example:
A book store is worked at by her.
Everyday is my home worked by me.
Cricket is not played by Ali.
Allah is worshiped by us.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

• PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE:


The Present Continuous Tense is used to describe an action that is happening right now.
• Structure:
Sub + H.V + 1-form+ing + Obj

• H.V: Is, Am, Are


"We use “am” when referring to oneself in the first person singular (I am),“is” when
talking about a singular third person or singular non-living entity (he/she/it is), and “are” when
talking about multiple people or things in the present tense (you/we/they are)."

Present continuous

• Example:
 Ali is doing his work.
 I am writing a letter.
 We are doing our task.
 Talha is not being watching TV.

Passive voice of present continious
Tense
• Structure:
obj + H/V +V(3)+ by +subj
• H/V:
is ,am ,are + being
• Example:
 Ali work is being done by him.
 A letter is being written by me.
 Our task is being done by us. 7

PRESENT PERFECT

• PRESENT PERFECT TENSE:


The Present Perfect Tense is used to describe an action that started in the past and continues into the present or has a effect on the present

• Structure:
Sub + H.V + 3-form + Obj
 We use “has” with he, she or it while “have” with I, we, you, they and with plural noun.
Negative:
After H.V we add “not”
Interrogative:
Start with H.V and “?” at the end of sentence.

PRESENT PERFECT

• Example:
 I have seen that movie before.
 She has visited Europe multiple times.
 We have finished our work.
 I have visited Paris.

Passive voice present perfect tense

• Structure:
obj +H/V +by+ sub
• Example:
 That movie has been seen by me before.
 Europe has been visited multiple times by her.
 Our has been finished.
 Paris has been visited by us.

PRESENT Perfect continuous

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE:


The Present Perfect Continuous Tense is used to describe an action that started in the past and
continues up to the present.
Structure:
Sub + H.V + been + 1-form+ing + Obj + since/for
We use “has” with he, she or it while “have” with I, we, you, they and with plural noun.
Negative:
After H.V we add “not”
Interrogative:

Start with H.V and “?” at the end of sentence.
"since" indicates a specific starting point in time, while "for" indicates the duration of the
PRESENT Perfect continuous

• Example:
 I have been studying since 3 o’clock.
We have been waiting for two hours.
I have been studying for the exam at morning.
We have been waiting for a bus for an hour.

Structure :
Simple:

Negative:

Interogative:

H/V: “Did”

1)Food was eaten by us.
2) football was played by me.
3) Clothes were not washed by him.
4)English was not speaked by me.

Structure:
H/V: was/were
Simple:

Example:
1)I had eaten dinner before the movie.
2) She had left the party before the cake was served.
3)He had already left when I called him.
4)They had finished their work before dinner.

1)dinner was already eaten by me before the movie.
2) The party had been left by her before the cake was served.
3) When he was called, he had alredy been left by me.
4) they had finished their homework before dinner.

tense
Example:
1)The team had been training for week before the match.
2)They had been talking on the phone for hours before they
realized.
3)She had been working on her painting for days before she finally
finished it.
4)I had been studying for 2 hours before I finally understood the
concept.

Future Indefinite

o Future indefinite indicates that an action or occurrence has not happened yet and will take
place at some point in the future
• Helping Verb : Will or Shall

Will  He , She , It , You , They or any other Subject.


Shall  I , We
Structure:
Subject + verb + Object
Subject + will/shall + V.1st form + object
Future Indefinite
Simple Sentences :
Subject+ will/shall + V. 1st form + object.
Example:
We shall help the poor. ‫ہم غریبوں کی مدد کریں گے۔‬

Negative Sentences:
Subject + will/shall+not+V.1st form + object.
Example:
We shall not help the poor.

Interrogative Sentences:
WH Family + Will/shall + subject + V.1st form + object + ?
Example:
Shall we help the poor ?
Why shall I help the poor ?
Passive voice of Future Indefinite
• In Future tense we use will /shall in active voice and will be/shall be in
passive voice.
• Passive case structure:
obj + H/V + V (3) + by + subj
Example:
The poor will be helped by us.
The concert tickets will be bought by my friend.
The cake will be baked by me.
Future Continuous
o The future continuous tense is a verb tense that shows an action happening
over a period of time in the future.
‫ رہے ہوں گے۔ وغیرہ کے الفاظ آتے ہیں۔‬، ‫ان جملوں کے آخر میں رہا ہو گا ر ہی ہو گی‬

Helping Verb : Will be or Shall be

Will be  He , She , It , You , They or any other Subject.


Shall be  I , We
Structure:
Subject + verb + Object
Subject + will be /shall be + V.1st form + ing +object
Future Continious
Simple Sentences :
Subject+ will be /shall be + V. 1st form + ing + object.
Example:
Faizan will be learning the lesson. ‫فیضان سبق یاد کر رہا ہو گا۔‬
Negative Sentences:
Subject + will not be /shall not be +V.1st form + ing + object.
Example:
Faizan will not be learning the lesson. ‫فیضان سبق یاد نہیں کر رہا ہو گا۔‬
Interrogative Sentences:
WH Family + Will/shall + subject + be + V.1st form + ing + object + ?
Example:
Why shall we be learning the lesson? ‫ہم سبق کیوں یاد کر رہے ہوں گے ؟‬
Future Perfect
o The future perfect is a verb tense used for actions that will be completed
before some other point in the future.
‫ہیں۔‬ ‫ان جملوں کے آخر میں چکا ہو گا چکی ہو گی چکے ہوں گے وغیرہ کے الفاظ آتے‬

Helping Verb : Will have or Shall have

Will have  He , She , It , You , They or any other Subject.


Shall have  I , We
Structure:
Subject + verb + Object
Subject + will have /shall have + V.3rd form +object
Future Perfect
Simple Sentences :
Subject+ will have /shall have + V. 3rd form + object.
Example:
He will have gone to school. ‫وہ سکول جا چکا ہوں گا۔‬
Negative Sentences:
Subject + will not have /shall not have +V.3rd form + object.
Example:
He will not have gone to school. ‫وہ سکول نہیں جا چکا ہوں گا‬
Interrogative Sentences:
WH Family + Will/shall + subject + have + V.3st form + object + ?
Example:
Why he will have gone to school? ‫وہ سکول کیوں جا چکا ہوں گا۔ ؟‬
Passive voice of Future Perfect Tense

• In Future tense we use will /shall in active voice and will be/shall be in passive
voice.
• Passive case structure:
obj + H/V + V (3) + by + subj

• Example:
School will have been gone to by him.
The car will have been repaired by the Machanic.
The package has been delivered by tomorrow.
The report has been submitted by the deadline.
Future Perfect Continuous
o The future perfect continuous is a verb tense that describes actions that will
continue up until a point in the future
‫ رہے ہوں گے وغیرہ کے الفاظ آتے ہیں مگر اس کے ساتھ وقت کا بھی زکر ہوتا ہے‬، ‫ان جملوں کے آخر میں رہا ہو گا ر ہی ہو گی‬

Helping Verb : Will have been or Shall have been


Will have been  He , She , It , You , They or any other Subject.
Shall have been  I , We
Structure: Subject + verb + Object
Subject + will have been /shall have been + V.1st form + ing +object + since/for
For: We use for with a period of time in the past, present or future.
Since : We use since with a point in time in the past.
Future Perfect Continuous
Simple Sentences :
Subject + will /shall ( have been )+ V.1st form + ing +object + since/for.
Example:
He will have been playing since morning. ‫وہ صبح سے کھیل رہا ہوگا۔‬
Negative Sentences:
Subject + will /shall ( not have been) +V.1st form + ing +object +
since/for.
Example:
He will not have been playing since morning.‫۔‬
Interrogative Sentences:
WH Family + Will/shall + subject + have been + V.1st form + object + ?
Example:
Will the boys have been swimming since morning ?
