Lesson 4: Linkages and Networking

with Organizations
Demonstrators: “We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our
lives are connected by a thousand
invisible threads, and along these
sympathetic fibers, our actions run as
causes and return to us as results.”

Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. become familiar with the various linkages, networking programs, and
affiliations available for the school and its community to help with
development and better service.

2. understand the importance of these linkages and networking opportunities,

as well as the organizations that support the school's establishment.

3. gain insight into why schools expand their linkages and networking
opportunities in areas such as sports, cultural affairs, current events, and other
related topics.
Introduction:
Schools can collaborate with public and private organizations
to achieve educational objectives. By sharing responsibilities
and networking with other institutions, schools can create
positive impacts on students and communities. DepEd schools
can also serve as laboratories for field study courses and
practice teaching exposing future teachers to teaching
realities.

colleges offering identical degrees. Cross-enrolment for
subjects needed for graduation is allowed.

Joint researches could be conducted by two or three

universities depending on their respective expertise. The
dissemination of findings to other universities in the area is a
big help.
B. Networking
According to Cambridge In businesses
dictionary networking is the sharing of information
the activity of meeting people or services between people, companies,
who might be useful to know, or groups. It is also a way for
especially in your job: individuals to grow their relationships
for their job or companies.

For teachers
relies on building organic relationships based on common
professional interests and classroom experiences. To facilitate
these connections, most conferences schedule time for informal
social gatherings.
