Site Performance Monitoring

 Ensure that all cells/layers are taking voice and data traffic
 Don’t just rely on erl value, might be its just HO traffic… also check the following:
 RRC connections for LTE/3G
 TCH connections for 2G

 Check major KPIs (DCR, AFR, Traffic) on site level.

 If degradation is noticed on site level, drill down to cell/layer level and immediately
coordinate with market engineer for immediate resolution.
Site Stabilization/Troubleshooting

If KPI is degraded especially AFR & DCR, the following initial steps are recommended to be undertaken :

 As a precaution for the expected coverage range of L700, dlRsboost was set to 0 dB and L700 RETs were

set to L2100 + 4. If it’s not the case and site is degraded, implement this settings.
 Check if LMS parameter settings were implemented especially for sites integrated the last few days as

this may have been missed during the audit.

 Check for any hardware issues/alarms and RTWP stats. Escalate it immediately to NI team for immediate

resolution.

 If severe degradation is observed that may be caused by overshooting, aggressive down tilt can be immediately applied
to stop the bleeding while analysis is on-going for the permanent fix.
 If severe degradation is due to HW issue, LOCKING the cell can be an option but needs approval from TMO.
Site Stabilization/Troubleshooting

If initial steps from the previous slide was already undertaken the following checks can also help :

AFR
 Most of the time cell is overshooting so try to contain it by adjusting RET.
 Verify PRACHCS value if it corresponds to actual coverage footprint
 Verify Antenna RTT Delay value
 Check Idle Mode related parameters e.g. IRFIM

DCR
 DCR issues has directly correlation with HO so check HO stats per adjacency
 RF coverage and dominance still has a huge impact on drop call issues, so check if RET settings are
appropriate and cell is not overshooting. Check TA data.
 Check HO related parameters e.g. LNHOIF
