 SSS Approach
 LMS Settings
 UMTS Power Settings
 Main Issues
 Leakage
 Traffic Imbalance

 Rejection Concerns
SSS Approach
 Familiarize Changes in the Site Configuration
 Using the latest RFDS, check if there are any changes in the following
o Radio module location (ground or top)
o Radio module type
o Antenna model
 Conduct Parameter Audit
 compare pre/post values of the following settings: (pre values are as per baseline period)
o Power related parameters
o RET
o LMS parameters
o Handover parameters
 Set RET/parameter settings to PRE values if needed/possible
 Analyze degraded KPIs
 Implement RET/parameter changes to rectify KPI degradation
 Fine Tune changes to achieve optimum impact
 Revert changes that does not yield positive impact
Familiarize Changes in Site Configuration
 Identify any changes in the config and it’s possible impact in the performance o the site
Familiarize Changes in Site Configuration
 In this example, lot of changes in the physical aspect of the site was done.

Conduct Parameter Audit
 Compare pre-post values to identify any changes that may have impact in the performance o the site.
Analyze Degraded KPIs
 Correlate changes in the site with changes in KPI trend to be able to apply appropriate actio

Leakage
 Possible causes:
 LTE coverage shrink
 UMTS/GSM coverage increase
o CPICH or power settings
o RET settings
o Site config change
 Incorrect Handover (IRAT) settings
 Solution (need market approval for parameter changes)
 Check Traffic and TA trend on all layers 2G/
3G

 Optimize power settings as per site config LTE coverage

 Optimize RET settings

 Optimize LMS or Handover settings
