HOGWARTS
School information and
location
 Hogwarts is a fictional school of witchcraft and wizardry.
 It is based on JK Rowling’s fictional novel saga Harry
Potter, which students attend in order to become wizards
and witches and improve their skills in magic, defense of
dark arts, herbology, magical creatures etc.
 The school is situated in Scotish Highlands, and it was
built on the turning of 9th to 10th century which means it
is a medieval building.
Admision
 selective
 children who show magical ability will automatically gain a place
 Letters of acceptance to muglle-born are delivered by school staff
personally.
Arrival

 Hogwarts express departs form platform 9 ¾


of King’s Cross station in London.
 After arriving to Hogwarts grounds students
are transported to the school by boats over
lake .
 When they enter the school they are
welcomed by a feast held by all the staff and
students and Sorting hat sorts new students
to one of Hogwarts’s houses.

Gryffindor

Gryffindor values
courage, bravery, nerve,
and chivalry.
Gryffindor's mascot is
the lion, and its colours
are scarlet red and gold

Hufflepuff

Hufflepuff values hard


work, patience, justice,
and loyalty. The house
mascot is the badger,
and canary. Yellow and
black are its colours.

Slytherin

Slytherin values
ambition, cunning,
leadership, and
resourcefulness. The
house mascot of
Slytherin is the serpent,
and the house colours
are green and silver.

Ravenclaw values
intelligence, learning,
wisdom and wit. The
house mascot is an
eagle and the house
colours are blue and
bronze

 Some of the best wizards in the world
 The principle was Albus Dumbledore who, after his death, was
succeded by Minerva McGonagall.
