WHAT IS A BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE?

-Written interchange to facilitate business


processes.

Two Types:
• Internal Communication: Between
company departments.
• External Communication: Between
companies.
Business Letters
-Traditional way of external communication.
Formats: Full Block, Modified Block, Semi-Block
Examples:
• Sales Letter, Order Letter, Complaint Letter
• Inquiry Letter, Adjustment Letter, Acknowledgement

• Follow-Up Letter, Cover Letter, Recommendation

• Resignation Letter

Use a sample letter to highlight key components:
• Date
• Sender Information (Name, Title, Company)
• Recipient Information (Name, Title, Company)
• Salutation (Dear Mr./Ms. Last Name)
• Body (Clear, concise message with proper tone)
• Complimentary Close (Sincerely, Yours Truly)
• Signature Block (Typed name and title
