INTRODUCTION

A social networking site typically consists of a representation of each user (known


as a profile), the social links of that user to other users, and various additional services.
Such social networking sites are web-based services that allow their users to create a
public profile and connect to a set of users with whom they can have conversations,
share information, and create web content.With the widespread use of the internet and
smartphones, social networking has become an integral part of human interaction. The
use of these social networking sites or the internet has an impact on people's physical,
mental, and spiritual health. When used properly, social media can be a valuable
addiction to students in terms of their academic performances and behaviors.

The increasing popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook has


revolutionized the way people communicate and interact with each other. While these
sites have numerous benefits, they have also raised concerns about their potential
negative effects on individuals' behavior, particularly among students. The purpose of
this study is to investigate the relationship between Facebook usage and student
behavior.

One of the most popular methods used today is Facebook. This study will look at the
effect of social media on their behaviors, with a focus on Facebook. With regard to
using Facebook, there will be a relationship between confidence, social media
participation, and social media related behaviors. The participants chosen were Grade
12 Gas Senior High School Students.

Facebook started when people started to communicate. Social means human society,
as interference of people & the groups and word media is the medium of expressions.
Most of the forms of social media are not digital. It generates a large number of
innovations and Social Media is one of the biggest inventions of technology,which is
now most popular and widely used.

We define Social Media as “technologies that made social communication easy and
enable discussions among its participants`In our study, social media refers to a web-
based mobile application that allows people or businesses to create, interact with, and

The result of this study will benefited the following:

This study will help the teachers of the Malino National High School to know
the influence that social media has on their students so as to assist them to enlighten
and create awareness to their students on the possible influence it has on them.

The Parents
This study is significant to parents in the sense that they will know the possible
effects these social media usage has on their children,so as they will observe they
children on the usage of the social networking sites.

that,apart from the social benefits of this social networking site,using the sites more
than necessary will pose possible dangers to their health.It will be relevant in assisting

Data collection

Making a request letter is the first thing to do


before beginning the actual testing. The
researcher will get the request letter once it
has been approved. The university provided
the following principles, as well as the class
advisors and other faculty members. In order
to avoid disrupting the class discussions, the
researcher used the time allotted for spare
time to administer the questionnaire. The kids
have enough time to respond to the questions.
After acquiring the information, the researcher
will utilized it to determine the outcomes and
