The Importance of

Spiritual Maturity
Goal of Every Believers:
Colossians 1:28
He is the one we proclaim, admonishing
and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so
that we may present everyone fully mature
in Christ
1 Corinthians 3:1-3
Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t
talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as
though you belonged to this world or as though you were
infants in Christ. I had to feed you with milk, not with solid
food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And
you still aren’t ready, for you are still controlled by your
sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel
with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by
your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the
world?
Signs of Immaturity
1. You have quick emotional escalations
-You quickly get angry and easily fall into arguments
- You find it difficult to forgive people

2. You tend to blame others when things go wrong.

- You have trouble learning from your mistakes
- But constantly placing blame on others—even when you know deep
down the issue has nothing to do with them—signals that you’re not
willing to take responsibility and accountability for your actions.
3. You have impulse-control issue
- rush making decision, base on emotion

4. You feel like you need to be the center of attention.

-You’re always thinking about yourself
- You always put yourself first
- You don’t care for the lost
5.You find it difficult to accept criticism or even
gentle correction
-You’re not humble enough

6. You’re constantly seeking pleasure

-You are not interested in growing spiritually 7. You try to avoid
taking on responsibility

7. You can’t discern between good and evil

Spiritual maturity is something that should be
a priority for every Christian.

2 Timothy 3:17
So that the servant of God may be thoroughly
