SUMMARY
1. To optimise the performance of a 2d diffuser by changing its
dimensions to a smaller one and get the accurate results.

Objective 2. Calibrate the results obtained from the simulated model with that of
original Model.

3. To build up a smaller better efficient and accurate 2d diffuser.

• Literature Survey
• To obtain readings from existing diffuser
• To measure the dimensions of the diffuser
Methodology • Modelling a optimized model by scaling the dimensions
• Simulating the model in Ansys fluent
• Calibrating & Optimization of the Diffuser
• Comparison of result with that of actual results 3

ANALYSIS

TESTING
Two-Dimensional Diff user

• A diffuser is a device that slows down fluid flow and increases

its pressure. It is often used in fluid dynamics, such as in the
design of air intake systems for jet engines or gas turbines.

• The 2D aspect might imply a two-dimensional design or an

application that involves flow in two dimensions, such as in
certain nozzle configurations.

4
Problem statement :

• Study and optimisation of 2d diffuser. To conduct the experiment in the lab

and find out the result and analysis it on Ansys.
