Hindu Nationalism:

Central to the RPP's philosophy is the promotion

of Hindu nationalism. The party advocates for
Nepal to be declared a Hindu state, arguing that
Hinduism is an integral part of Nepali culture and
identity. They oppose secularism and aim to
protect and promote Hindu traditions and values
in all aspects of governance and society.
Monarchism:
The RPP is known for its staunch support for the
monarchy in Nepal. They advocate for the
restoration of the monarchy, which was abolished
in 2008 when Nepal became a federal democratic
republic. The party believes that the monarchy
plays a crucial role in preserving Nepal's cultural
identity and national unity.
Cultural Conservatism:
The RPP espouses conservative values in social,
cultural, and political spheres. They are resistant
to rapid social change and advocate for the
preservation of traditional norms and customs.
The party opposes progressive social reforms that
they perceive as undermining traditional family
structures, moral values, and cultural practices.
Federalism and Governance:
The RPP has been critical of the federal system
adopted by Nepal after the abolition of the
monarchy, arguing that it has led to administrative
inefficiencies and weakened national unity. The
party advocates for a more centralized form of
governance that they believe would be more
conducive to maintaining unity and stability in the
country.
Unity in Diversity:
Despite its emphasis on Hindu nationalism and
traditional values, the RPP recognizes Nepal's
diverse ethnic, linguistic, and cultural landscape.
While advocating for the primacy of Hinduism, they
also emphasize the importance of respecting and
accommodating the cultural rights and identities of
minority groups within the framework of a unified
Nepali nation.
