OBJECTIVE:
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness in the
implementation of traffic management in Bauang, La
Union as a basis for policy recommendation for
improvement.
Statement of the Problem
Specifically, this study answers the following questions:
1. What is the level of implementation of traffic
management system at the Municipality of Bauang, La
Union in terms:
1. Traffic facilities
2. Policies and Guidelines
3. Seminars and Trainings of Traffic Enforcers
2. What is the degree of seriousness of problems
encountered in the implementation of Traffic
Management at the Municipality of Bauang, La Union in
terms:
1. Traffic facilities
2. Policies and Guidelines
3. Seminars and Trainings of Traffic Enforcers
3. What policy can be proposed to improve the traffic
management of the Municipality of Bauang, La Union?
 This study was conducted in Bauang, La Union. The
respondents of this research were the thirty (35)
PNP/Traffic Enforcers (50) Tricycle/Jeepney drivers and
(50) Commuters in the municipality of Bauang, La
Union. Quota sampling technique was used to
determine the number of respondents.

Total enumerative sampling was applied to

PNP/FTP/Traffic Enforcers while convenience sampling
was applied to the Tricycle/Jeepney Drivers and
Commuters.
Instrumentation and Data
Collection
The main instrument that will use in this study
was the survey questionnaire. Survey-Questionnaire two
parts: Part 1: contains questions on the level of
implementation of traffic management system at
Bauang, La union along National Highway. Part 2:
contains questions on the degree of seriousness of
problems encountered in the implementation of traffic
management at the municipality of Bauang, La Union.
