Prepare headbands earlier in the week. Students can make headbands for their parents

 Read the story (5mins)

 Set up 3-4 areas in the classroom:

• Department store shelf – use soft blocks to sit on
• Upstairs of the department store – beds and lamps
• Cashier desk – table with money
• Little girls room – we could use the same area as
the beds and lamps

Students will act out the story along side their parents

Teddy bear number game:
 - Roll two dice to get a number
 - Place a bear or button on each number as
you roll
 - First person to cover all the numbers win

 Students bring a teddy bear or soft toy to show and talk about and share with their friends
 Move to reading corners to read stories with parents
