How to use S.T.E.A.M
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education is used to develop skills and
competencies in these fields. It can be implemented in various ways:
1. School: Many schools are introducing STEAM programs into the curriculum to educate students in these
fields. This includes lessons and projects related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
2. Hands-on projects and experiments: STEAM education is based on experience. Students can learn by
doing experiments, building models and solving practical problems.
3. Clubs or extracurricular activities: Many students get involved in STEM clubs or activities outside of
school to develop their interest and skills in areas such as robotics, programming, or chemistry.
Peculiarities of STEAM education
For a long time the four sciences (STEM) were taken up and taught to children as separate
elements. Then came this type of education that entwined them by adding art.
The key to success in society is to give children the knowledge and skills to cope, even
more so, in a world that is constantly changing.
STEAM education focuses on the learning process as much as the outcomes.
STEAM education has incorporated design thinking and the design process to provide a
solution based on a problem solving approach.
