• Study of ancient societies and their cultural traditions.
• Investigate the people’s language, their values,
technologies and even how they group themselves.
• 2 branches:
- Biological Anthropology
- Cultural Anthropology
SOCIOLOGY
• “Socius” (people together, associate), “logos” (study of)
• Study of society, social institutions and social
relationships.
• Explains that the perspective of sociology enables us to
see general patterns in particular events
• It studies man as a social being.
