Guidelines &Mechanics
1. The game is open to all physically and mentally fit.
2. Every team must have its team entry composed of 10 members.
3. There shall be 5 checkpoints/ stations with different challenging
tasks. At every checkpoint/station, an Amazing Race facilitator will
be there to provide the activity challenge description.
4. The team can proceed from one checkpoint/station to another if
they can complete the task.
5. The first team to complete the 5 tasks will be declared as the
winner. In an event that no team can complete the tasks, the team
that completed the most number of station challenges wins.
CHECKPOINTS/ STATION
• Teams will need to decide the order in which they
complete set tasks; careful planning and a clever
strategy will set teams apart and is really what this
game is all about. Each team must solve a given
problem/ riddle before they begin with the task.
The opening task will ignite the competitive spirit
and will determine which teams begin first. Various
challenges will ensure that speed is not the
deciding factor as you navigate your way in search
of checkpoints to collect points.
What happens during the Amazing Race?
Puzzle Challenge: Teams
are given an actual jigsaw
puzzle that teams will
need to put together. Once
completed a number
combination code will be
revealed, and teams will
need to crack the code and
come up with a phrase like
"90% of the game is half
mental" repeat that phrase
to receive your next clue.
• All in The Timing: Teams
must take a HAMSTER
WALK uphill located in the
Woodside Farm Lovers Lane
at a specific time; this really
puts your route planning
and strategy to the test.
• Jump It Out: Teams must
make their way to the
Performing stage and take
the “Tinikling” Dance
Challenge. While on a stage,
they must then convince a
set of judges if they dance
satisfactory to get to the
next checkpoint/ station
• Catch It: Form two straight
lines, with teammates facing
each other. Then have each
player take a big step back
from their teammate and toss
the balloon to them. The
opposite player must catch the
balloon without popping it. If a
balloon pops, that team needs
to try again to complete 5
balloons in a bucket
Basic Rules
• You must stay together as a team at all times.
• The boundaries for today’s race are the
Woodside Farm & Waterpark facilities and its
outside grounds. No clues will be outside the
resort grounds.
• You can use any resources to figure out clues
EXCEPT other teams.
• If teams haven’t found the finish line by 12:00nn,
please return immediately to Race Main Ground.
Communication of Clues
• Please text your team name, the color of the
clue that you’re answering, and your answer –
ie. “ALPHA RED TOOTHPASTE”. You’ll then
receive a message with your next clue color or
a message to try again.
• You can text us for help… but each location we
give you is a 5 minute penalty and each
answer to a clue we give you is a 5 minute
penalty. Choose wisely!
The clues
• Each clue is assigned a colour. It will be a
small riddle/puzzle to solve. Find the location,
find out the answer, and then text back the
answer.
• PLEASE DO NOT OPEN CLUES UNTIL
INSTRUCTED. One clue is a “dud” – opening
that clue or not bringing it back with you
sealed incurs a 15 minute penalty!
Example Clue
Go to the room that is 200 steps from the gate,
once there, find out where all the X employees
stays.

Room = Sales
Answer = Borinda
(listed on a poster)
How do we determine placement?
• The winning team is determined by arrival at
the finish line (plus applicable penalties). If no
one finishes, the team that arrives back to the
main ground with the most complete clues
(plus applicable penalties) wins.
Let’s break into teams!
• You will each receive a package containing the
following:
- Eight clues sealed in envelopes.
- A “Start” envelope – this will contain the colour
of your first clue and a reminder of how to text
us your answers.
- A snack in case you get hungry.
• You also need to make sure to have someone in
your team with a cell phone.
GOOD LUCK AND RACE
