be accessed through the use of electronic devices such as
Telemedicine and Remote Healthcare:- Information systems

services. This is particularly beneficial for individuals in rural or

reduces travel time and cost, and enhances overall healthcare
delivery.

 The advantage of digital ID is that
we can use it anywhere as long as
we are in Ethiopia
 And we will see in the next page the
image of digital ID.

for identification purposes in
various situations

 What Is Inappropriate Use of Social Media?
 The inappropriate use of social media refers to behviours and actions that can have negative
consequences for individuals, communities or societies as a whole. Here are some examples of
inappropriate use of social media

include spreading rumors, making derogatory comments, or sharing offensive content with the
intention of causing harm or distress to others.

towards others online. This can involve sending threatening messages, engaging in personal
attacks, or deliberately provoking and harassing individuals.
Sharing or posting Inappropriate content: Sharing explicit, offensive or
inappropriate content such as nudity, violence hate speech or graphic images that can be
distressing or offensive to others.

information that can misinform and deceive others. This can have serious consiquence
especially in areas such as public health where information can contribute to the spread of
harmful belifes or practice

media platforms, to the point where it negatively affects one’s personal relationships
productivity mental health or overall well-being.

others online with the intention of deceiving or defrauding individuals. This can involve
scams, phishing attempts, or catfishinig.
 Online Hate and Discrimination: Using social

HOW TO CREATE AN AWARNESS FOR OUR
SOCIETY ?
 Raising awareness about the inappropriate use of social Media is crucial for promoting
responsible and respectful online behaviour. Some strategies to create awarness in society
regarding the inappropriate use of social media:-

 Education and Digital Literacy :- Develop educational Programs and workshops that
focus on digital literacy, responsible social media use, and online etiquette. Collaborate with
schools, colleges, and community centers to incorporate lessons on the appropriate use of
social media into their curricula.

 Community workshops and seminars :- Organize workshops and seminars in


collaboration with community organizations targeting both adults and youth. Address topics
such as cyber bullying, online harassment, privacy protection, and the impact of
inappropriate social media use on mental health.

highlighting the importance of
