Parallel lines are two coplanar lines that do not intersects.
The symbol for parallel line is ║read as “is parallel to”. To check
whether two lines are parallel, they must be equidistant to each
other.

Perpendicular lines are lines that intersect at right angles.


The symbol for perpendicular is ⊥ read as “is perpendicular
to”. When the intersection of segments and rays form right
angles, then they are considered perpendicular.
