 What was the
MFA?
The Armed Forces Movement (MFA) was a military movement responsible
for the Revolution of April 25, 1974 in Portugal, which ended the 48-year
dictatorship of the Estado Novo.

The MFA overthrew the dictatorship regime
that for 48 years oppressed the Portuguese
people.

Thus began democracy.
