FILAMENT
The male reproductive part of a flower is
referred to as stamen and consists of the
filament and the anther. Filament is a stalk-
like structure that attaches to the base of the
flower and supports the anther.
ANTHER
In flowering plants, anther is part
of the male reproductive organ,
stamen which contains pollen.
STIGMA
The stigma is part of the female
reproductive system of a flower.
It is found in the center of a
flower, on top of the style and it
helps to collect pollen.
STYLE
The style of a flower is the stalk
that supports the stigma and
connects it to the ovary. One major
function of the style is to assist with
fertilization by being the location
where pollen tubes travel to deliver
sperm cells to the egg.
OVARY
The portion of the pistil, the
female organ of a flower. The
ovary contains ovules, which
develop into seeds upon
fertilization. The ovary itself
will mature into a fruit
SEPAL
The outer parts of the
flower ,often green and leaf-
like, that enclose a
developing bud.
PETAL
The parts of a flower that are
usually large and brightly
coloured to attract pollinators.
