Background of the problem
Based on the background description, several
problems can be identified at the Social Service
Karawang District as follows:
 Work stress is quite high
 The number of HR (Human Resources) is still insufficient
 Employee work motivation is not optimal
 Job satisfaction is not good
Problem Limitation
So that the discussion in this research is more
focused and because of the author's limited time
and knowledge, the author will limit the scope of
discussion to Job Satisfaction (Y) in terms of the
Job Stress (X) aspect

Satisfaction?
Theory Description
 Job satisfaction is a psychological or emotional
condition related to one's work

 Job Stress is a condition or feeling that presses or


creates pressure on employees when facing work.
Framework of Thinking
 The theoretical framework stated above explains that researchers
want to test the effect of job stress on job satisfaction. In this
case, the researcher will use ex post facto quantitative research
methods, and in this research, the researcher will distribute
questionnaires to employees of the Karawang District Social
Service. Job satisfaction is measured by the following indicators:
salary, job, promotion, superior, and work colleague.

 Meanwhile, job stress is measured by the following indicators:


task demands, role demands, interpersonal demands,
organizational structure, organizational leadership. The
population in this study were all Social Service Employees. The
sample was determined using a random sampling technique.
Research methodology
1. This research uses ex-post facto research
2. This research aims to determine the effect of job stress on job
satisfaction.
3. This research is planned to be carried out at the Karawang
District Social Service
4. Research data will be collected for approximately 4 months
from July to October 2023.
5. The research sample was all employees of the Karawang
District Social Service
Data analysis technique
 Data collected from respondents was then analyzed
using descriptive statistical techniques and inferential
statistics.
 Descriptive statistics are used to present data for each
research variable, namely job stress and job satisfaction.
 while inferential statistics are used to test research
hypotheses
