 ECOTOURISM :

Ecotourism encompasses nature-based activities that increase

visitor appreciation and understanding of natural and
cultural values. They are experiences that are managed to
ensure they are ecologically, economically and socially
sustainable, contributing to the wellbeing and conservation of
the natural areas and local communities where they operate.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)

defines ecotourism as the: environmentally responsible
visiting of relatively unspoilt natural areas, in order to enjoy
and appreciate nature (and any accompanying cultural
features—both past and present), that promotes conservation,
has low negative visitor impact, and provides for beneficially
active socio-economic involvement of local populations.

OF ECOTOURISM?
Ans. 85% of the people who
filled the form have heard
about the ecotourism and the
remaining 15% of the people
who haven’t heard about it
must have known about
ecotourism now.
 QUESTION 2. DOES ECOTOURISM PROMOTE
PROTECTION TO LOCAL CULTURAL HERITAGE?
Ans. 80% of the people think that
ecotourism protect culture heritage while
20% of the people are not sure about it.
Ecotourism promotes the protection of
natural cultural heritage by emphasizing the
importance of preserving the environment
and respecting local traditions. It’s a great
way to safeguard both nature and cultural
treasures!
QUESTION 3. DOES ECOTOURISM INCREASE
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL
RESIDENTS?
Ans. 90% of the people does think that
ecotourism increase employment opportunities
for local residents while 5% of the people think it
doesn’t and the rest 5% are not really sure about
it due to lack of awareness.
Ecotourism projects may also require people
from the area to help with activities such as
guiding or teaching about conservation efforts.
This provides additional job opportunities and
helps support economic growth within the region.

PROTECTING THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT?
Ans. 90.9% Of people believes that ecotourism
protects natural environment while 9.1% of
people are really not sure about it.
Ecotourism plays a vital role in safeguarding
the natural environment. By advocating for
sustainable practices and creating awareness
about conservation, ecotourism helps maintain
the delicate balance of ecosystems. So,
ecotourism is indeed a valuable tool in
protecting our beautiful natural surroundings!

RESIDENTS IN GETTING MORE EMPLOYMENT
OPPORTUNITIES?
Ans. 68.2% of the people thinks that ecotourism
does helps the local female residents in getting
more employment opportunities while 4.5% of the
people doesn’t think that and the remaining
27.3% of the people are not so sure about it.
But Yeah, ecotourism can actually provide more
job opportunities for local women in communities
where it's promoted. By involving women in
various roles within the ecotourism industry, it not
only empowers them economically but also
contributes to their social and personal
development.

YOUR MIND WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT TRAVELLING?
Ans. 36.4% PREFER ECOTOURISM WHILE TRAVELLING.
13.6% PREFER LEISURE TOURISM WHILE TRAVELLING.
18.2% PREFER CULTURAL TOURISM WHILE TRAVELLING.
31.8% PREFER ADVENTURE TOURISM WHILE
TRAVELLING.

By this survey’s responses we can see that there are

people who do prefer ecotourism but as everyone has
different interest so they choose according to it.
But even though there are different types of tourisms
we should always think about our environment and act
responsible towards it.
QUESTION 7. DOES ECOTOURISM IMPROVE
LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE?
Ans. 68.2% people does think that ecotourism does
improve local infrastructure while 31.8% are not
really sure about it.
When tourists visit an area for ecotourism, it can
lead to the development of better roads,
transportation, and utilities in the region. The
revenue generated can be reinvested in the
community for things like schools and healthcare.
So, ecotourism not only benefits the environment
but also has positive impacts on the local
infrastructure.
QUESTION 8. DO YOU FOLLOW WAYS
OF ECOTOURISM WHILE TRAVELLING?
Ans. 40.9% of the people follow the ways of
ecotourism during travelling while 4.5% of the
people does not and the remaining 54.5% of the
people doesn’t fully follow it.
As we know that following the ways of ecotourism
while traveling can make a positive difference. It
involves being mindful of the environment,
supporting local communities, and respecting the
culture and wildlife of the places you visit. By
practicing ecotourism, you contribute to
sustainable travel and help protect the destinations
you explore. It’s a great way to travel responsibly
and make a positive impact!
QUESTION 9.DO YOU THINK ECOTOURISM DISTURB THE INTEGRITY OF
ECOSYSTEM?

Ans. 9.1% of the people thinks that ecotourism

disturb the integrity of ecosystem while 59.1%of
the people doesn’t thinks that and the rest 31.8%
of the people aren’t really sure about it.
When ecotourism isn’t carefully managed, it can
disturb the integrity of the ecosystem. It’s
essential to practice responsible tourism to
minimize any negative effects on the
environment. By being mindful of our impact, we
can help protect the delicate balance of nature
while enjoying the beauty of our planet.
QUESTION 10. DO YOU THINK THAT
ECOTOURISM HAS BRIGHT FUTURE?
Ans. 86.4% of people does think that
ecotourism does have bright future while
13.4% of people thinks that ecotourism might
have a bright future.
Ecotourism is gaining popularity worldwide
as people become more conscious of
environmental issues. With a growing interest
in sustainable travel and conservation,
ecotourism definitely has a bright future
ahead!

THOUGHTS ON ECOTOURISM.

AS IT PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES, CONSERVATION,AND

SO, WHENEVER WE PLAN A TRIP WE SHOULD ALWAYS CONSIDER
ECOTOURISM FOR MEANINGFUL AND FULFILLING EXPERIENCE.
