Nighttime is when the sun has
gone down, the sky becomes
dark and the moon is visible.

 Why do we have Day and Night?
We get day and night because the Earth
rotates on an imaginary line called an axis.
During daytime, your part of the Earth is
facing the sun. As the Earth rotates you move
away from the sun until eventually, the sun is
no longer visible.
Guided Practice Activity
ASSIGNMENT
Go outside of your house at nighttime when
the sky is clear. Let your parents or siblings
go with you. Then, observe the sky. In a clean
short bond paper, draw what you see in the
sky.
