INTRODUCTION
This work plan stems from Thynk Unlimited’s
Environmental Audit working group.
It aims to lay out the vision, work plan, goals, and proposed
actions of Environmental Auditing for the period of 2024 –
2025.
BACK Thynk Unlimited is one of the internationally acknowledged
leaders in public sector auditing.
GROUND Formed way back in 1997, the Environmental Auditing steering
committee was established especially for environmental audit
efforts. It emphasizes project management, long-term planning,
and operational decisions.

For the upcoming 2024 – 2025 period, several proposed areas need to adopt the
following central themes:

• Assist contemporary, joint, or coordinated environmental audits at the regional level.
• Uphold and improve the distribution and exchange of up-to-date information on and
training in the environmental auditing techniques
• Enhance cooperation between the members

• Introduce, develop, and facilitate regional joint
• Coordinate audits
• Assist contemporary, joint, or coordinated environmental audits at the
regional level

The regional coordinators and members pinpoint
and track topics of common interest and appoint the
audit coordinator

• Develop regional capacity in the environmental auditing by


conducting training
• Uphold and improve the distribution and exchange of up-to-date
information on and training in the environmental auditing
techniques

Proposed Actions:

• Organize at least two environmental auditing meetings


• Build training module for 2024 – 2025
• Carry out training for a period of 2024 – 2025 courses, more
particularly on water quality, biodiversity, and waste management
• Adjust and disseminate environmental auditing training courses for all
the members
