Contents of Appellee’s Brief
Section 14, Rule 44 of the Rules of Court outlines the requirements for an
appellee's brief. It should include a subject index, a table of alphabetically
arranged cases, textbooks, and statutes cited, a statement of facts or
counter-statement addressing inaccuracies in the appellant's facts, and an
argument section with page references to the record. The authorities cited
should be referenced by the page of the report where the case begins and
the page where the citation is found. These provisions aim to ensure
clarity and structure in presenting arguments to the court.
