What are Kinetic Roads?

* It is a tire-like rubber paving that converts the kinetic energy produced by moving vehicles into electrical
energy.

* It is able to collect and convert this energy into electricity

* This electro-kinetic road is a method of generating electricity by harnessing the kinetic energy of
automobiles that drive over the road.
advantages:-
 Generating power without polluting our environment

 Simply construction & mature technology and easy maintenance

 No fuel transportation required

 No external sources are needed for power generation

 Energy scarcity is the main problem in our country.so,this may solved the problem to some extend

 Electry generate from one vehicle is around 8.175watt . Which can be used for various purpose
Dis-advantages:-
 It is not able to effectively handling friction

 In-sufficient energy creation as compare to other sources

 High initial cost

Applications:-
Its applications are:-
 Street light

 Power generator

 Sustainable infrastructure

 Public spaces
How can it help:-
 Kinetic pavements are typically made of a composite material that contains piezoelectric fibers. The fibers
are embedded in the pavement and generate electricity when they are flexed by the weight of people or
vehicles passing over them.

 As cars drive over the road, the wheels exert a force that causes these crystals to deform and
generate electrical energy. This energy can then be used to power street lights or can be stored in
batteries for later use

 Kinetic road technology uses the kinetic energy accrued by vehicles to generate electricity. This is done by
installing an energy ramp under the road. The energy ramp consists of an energy conversion assembly that sits
underground and a ramp embedded in the road surface.
What are 4 kinetic energy examples?
 Every moving object and particle have kinetic energy.

 A person walking

 a soaring baseball

 a crumb falling from a table

 a charged particle in an electric field are all examples of

kinetic energy at work
Conclussion:-
 Kinetic roads' main benefit is their ability to lower carbon
emissions. Kinetic roads actively support the energy grid,
minimising the need for additional power from conventional
sources, in contrast to traditional roadways, which are
essentially passive structures that act as vehicle highways.
