Musculoskeletal fitness is a multifaceted concept that combines the
integrated roles of muscular strength, muscle endurance, and muscle power to
enable one to accomplish labor against their own body weight or an outside
resistance.
The musculoskeletal system, which consists of three parts—muscular
strength, endurance, and flexibility—is one facet of physical health.
Dynamic muscular strength is the greatest force that a muscle or group of
muscles can produce at a particular speed.
Importance of Musculoskeletal Fitness

1. Reduce coronary risk factors.


2. Increases bone mineral density (reduced risk of osteoporosis),
3. Increases flexibility
4. Improves glucose tolerance, and greater success in completion of Activities of
Daily Living (ADL)
5. Improves cognitive function in people of all ages.
6. Plays an important role in preventing and treating obesity.
7. Reduces your risk of Alzheimer's disease.
8. Reduce your chances of getting breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and certain
other gastrointestinal cancers.
9. Improves your immune function, which reduces your chance of infections.
10. Increases the blood flow to your lungs, allowing the lungs to deliver more
oxygen into the blood.
