1- outer aspect of the upper arm.
2- abdomen
4- upper back.
DO NOT ASPIRATE
Equipment
1- sterile pre dish with medication card .
2- sterile syringe .
3- prescribed medication .
4- Spirit swab.
5- clean gloves.
6- kidney tray.
PROCEDURE
1) FOR REGULAR INJ. ENSURE ROTATION OF SITES
2) USE OF ALCOHOL SWAB NOT NECESSARY .
REPEATED USE MAY HARDEN SKIN
3) GENTLY BUNCH UP THE SKIN AVOIDS INJ. INTO
MUCLE.
4) INSERT THE NEEDLE AT 45 DEGREE ANGLE
5) INJECT THE MED. SLOWLY
6) UNNECESSARY TO ASPIRATE PRIOR TO
INJECTING AS IT IS UNLIKLY TO REACH BLOOD
VESSELS.
