The Use of Passive Voice

The passive voice is used when we


want to emphasize the action (the
verb) and the object of a sentence
rather than subject. This means that
the subject is either less important than
the action itself or that we don’t know
who or what the subject is.
The Examples
Active Voice: Somebody stole my
laptop.
Passive Voice: My laptop is
stolen.
Active Voice: My mother made
the cake.
Passive Voice: The cake was
made by mother.

Passive Voice of Simple Past Tense
Subject + To Be (was/were) + Verb 3
 Boby made the pizza.
