DAILY ROUTINE OF AN

ASTRONAUT

ingles
A typical day begins with the alarm clock ringing at 6:00 am local
station time. After a quick shower, the astronauts gather for breakfast,
which often includes packaged foods and drinks such as coffee and tea.
Then, they begin physical exercises to prevent muscle and bone atrophy,
which affects astronauts when they spend too much time in zero gravity.
Once they are done with their exercise routine, the astronauts begin
performing their assigned tasks for the day. This may include checking
space station systems, conducting scientific experiments, performing
DAILY ROUTINE repairs or maintenance, and responding to requests from the ground.
Each task is carefully planned and scheduled to optimize the time the
OF AN astronauts have available.
ASTRONAUT After a day full of activity, the astronauts have a little free time before
dinner. This often involves talking to loved ones on earth or enjoying the
stunning view of space. Afterwards, they meet for dinner together,
which is usually a meal with packaged foods and rehydrated drinks.
Once dinner is over, the astronauts rest and prepare for the next day.
Whether reading a book, writing emails, or just relaxing, astronauts have
limited time to themselves before it's time to sleep. Each night, they
retreat to a small private cabin to sleep, floating in their special sleeping
bag to stay in place while they sleep.
