a bit of, many, much, a lot of and lots of, prepositions of place.

Unit 1: My life and home

● Think of your bedroom or a room in your house. What is it like?

● Write 3 adjectives that describe the room and 3 objects in it.

● Speak to your partner and describe your room.

● What is being tested?

It tests your ability to listen for gist and identify attitudes, opinions and agreement between speakers.

● What do you have to do?

Listen to 6 short conversations. You can hear it twice. For each question you have 3 possible answers. Choose the best (A,B,C)

● Strategy

Before you listen, read the context sentence, the questions and the options. Underline the key words to help you listen for the right
information.

Listen carefully to each extract from beginning to the end to make sure you aren't distracted by incorrect answers.

Mark the option that you think is correct, on the second recording check or change.
