This programs engages all education
stakeholders to contribute their time effort and
resources in ensuring that public school facilities
are set in time for the fourthcoming school
opening.

• By communities organization for meetings,
• As a polling place and venue for medical mission which
it may co-sponsor with the Rural Health Unit,
• By the Rural Health Unit for mothers’ class on child
care,
• As an evacuation center,
• School facilities for community assemblies,
WHAT CAN SCHOOLS DO FOR
COMMUNITIES IN RETURN?

• School basketball court used for local celebrations and


barangay sports league,
• Schools conduct livelihood skills-training programs for
parents and out-of-school youths by using school
resources,
• Livelihood skills-training for parents and out-of-school
youths by teachers themselves.

Maintained by community donors for budgeting, cooking, and
purchasing.

Cops lectured on good manners, right conduct, drug addiction,
child abuse, child welfare.
3. Municipal Welfare and Development Office
Conducted classes about health, nutrition, and rights of
children.

Community clean up garbages in small areas and
convert it into green areas with vegetables shared
to all, especially for the BOWLS project.

Stomach)
Selected children were provided a free bowl of
lugaw due to malnutrition.

Teacher adopt a child and act as his/her tutor for

A weekly trash market wherein the community
were invited to bring their recyclable garbages to
support the school.

• Partnership implies two parties helping


each other.
• The school cannot do it all. “It takes a
village to educate the child” so goes
the African proverb.
