Milky juice is secreted through it. Leaves small, converted into spines. Flowers (in rains) in 3 flowered cymes, with central flower. Toxic parts : Milky acrid juice Toxic principles : Euphorbine Fatal dose: Uncertain Fatal period: Uncertain Toxic Signs and Symptoms: Route of poisoning through skin, gastro intestinal poisoning. If juice is applied to skin it leads to vesication. If instilled to the eyes lead to leads to severe conjunctives and loss of eyesight. If taken internally symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, convulsions and coma. Treatment : Ayurved : Externally : Application of tamarind macerated in water.
