MY MIRROR SPOON
Using a spoon how can you define Convex
and Concave Mirror
HOLOGRAM
PROPERTIES
OF
LIGHT
• The class will be divided into three groups.
• Each group will perform the activity assigned to their group
• GUIDE QUESTION
What happened to the light when you try to point it to the following
object:
GROUP 1- MIRROR/PENCIL, WATER,GLASS
GROUP 2-GLASS, CELLOPHANE
GROUP 3-CD TAPE/PRISM/GLASS
Reflection
is the bouncing back of light when it strikes a surface.
is the bending of light due to the change in its speed
when passing two different media.
TRANSMISSION
is the passing of light through a material without being absorbed.
ABSORPTION
Absorption of light occurs when light strikes a material, and the energy that it carries is absorbed
by the atoms of the material and is converted into thermal energy.
SCATTERING
When white light from sun enters the earth's atmosphere, the light gets scattered i.e., the light spreads
in all directions by the dust particles, free water molecules and the molecules of the gases present in
the atmosphere. This phenomenon is called scattering of light.
DISPERSION
The process of breaking white light into seven colours
DIFFRACTION
The bending of light around corners such that it spreads out and illuminates
areas where a shadow is expected.
SANGYAW FESTIVAL

• Sangyaw is a popular native festival held every 29th of June in Tacloban city. In the local dialect which is
waray-waray “ Sangyaw “ means “to announce or herald a news. Parade of Lights – consists of Floats,
