• They help protect our bodies from diseases.
• Aims to strengthen the immune system.

• Can be divided into 2 parts, “bio” means life
and “molecules” means combinations of
atoms.
• Therefore, it is the molecules of life.
• Large organic compounds that are important
to life’s processes, such as respiration and
metabolism.
 Four major groups of Biomolecules:
CARBOHYDRATES LIPIDS
Organic compounds Are a diverse group of
