BRIEF HISTORY
• Klubitalo Sarastus, Pori is a voluntary organization that is intended
for people of working age who have or have had psychiatric
illnesses

• Klubitalo Sarastus is an offshoot of Clubhouse International which

was founded in 1948 in New York United States of America.

• It has expanded to 32 Countries since its formation.

• First Clubhouse International in Finland was founded in 1995 in

Tampere

• Klubitalo Sarastus, Pori came into existence in 2002

ROLES IN
SOCIETY
It performs many roles that positively impact the
psychological wellbeing and mental wellness of its
members. Some of these roles are:

REHABILITATION

Committed to ensuring that its members are

rehabilitated towards working life.

EDUCATION

Helps its members in the pursuit of their

education, either they want to
continue their education after rehabilitation or
to start anew.

• volunteers are responsible for creating activities for

the members of the club.

• clubhouse works in cooperation with various

authorities, care workers, educational institutions,
companies and the third sector.
