Why is this important?
Understanding these standards and frameworks is vital to educators for multiple reasons. Firstly these are all
designed and researched to make you the most effective educator possible. So if as an educator your goal is to be the
best you can possibly be for your students then these should give you an idea of how to go about that. Secondly
these are the guides that administrators will be using to evaluate your performance. Most evaluations are graded on a
scale 1-4 with 1 being unsatisfactory and 4 being proficient or distinguished. So if you intend to be employed for an
extended period of time it’s important to understand what they are looking for in your performance as a teacher.
