This means n x (n+1)÷2.
For example, if we want to know what the third triangular number is, we do this:
3 x (3+1) = 12. 12 ÷2 = 6, so the third triangular number is 6.
Fun facts:
Triangular numbers never end in 2, 4, 7, or 9.
Triangular numbers are never cubed numbers
(except 1), or any powers other than squared.
