Peace is a complex concept that can have different meanings depending on the context in which it is used.
However, at its core, peace can be defined as a state of calmness, tranquility, and non-violence, which
allows individuals or groups to coexist harmoniously and work towards progress.

Peace can also be understood in different ways depending on the level of analysis.
 Individual level, peace can refer to a state of inner calmness and personal well-being
 Interpersonal level, peace can refer to the ability of individuals to interact with each other in a
respectful and non-violent manner
 Societal level, peace can refer to the absence of violence, war, and other forms of conflict between
different groups of people
 Global level, peace can refer to the absence of international conflicts, the promotion of cooperation
and mutual understanding among nation

In summary, peace is a complex concept that encompasses many different aspects of human life. It involves
more than just the absence of conflict and requires the promotion of respect, understanding, and
cooperation among individuals and groups.
 IMPORTANCE

 To remove fear and anxiety in the lives of the people.

 It promotes the progress, growth, and development of the society.

 It brings about happiness and reduces stress in the society.

 It promotes tolerance and understanding amongst the people.

 It promotes peaceful co-existence among the people which results in a lack of

conflict.

 It encourages international cooperation, trade and relationships.
