SECTION 118 HP TENANCY ACT

• Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1972 ; Section 118 - The whole
purpose of Section 118 of the 1972 Act is to protect agriculturists with small holdings.
• Section 118 has procedures that permit an outsider to purchase both land and Property in
the state after requesting official consent.
• We are permitted to register a 500 Square meter area in the specified land under section
118. Area above that would be on Perpetual agreement.
• In our project we obtained 118 approval which allows to convey 500 sqmt of land , over
and above we have given exclusive usage rights for surrounding private green area which
has been approved as per TCP.
