A Tessellation of a flat surface is the covering of a plane
using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no
overlaps and gaps.

Tessellations can be anywhere in school, in office or in


your house! Some common places where you can find
tessellating patterns are:-
• Basketball
• Textiles
