The impact of Supply Chain Management practices

on the overall performance of the organization
A study on SMEs of SAVAR
COURSE NAME: PRINCIPLES OF
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT.

What Is Supply Chain Management?
Supply Chain Management means, managing the flow of supplying raw
materials to the production department in order to process the final product, so
that the supply and demands of that product remains in a balanced way.

For example: Army IBA canteen produces Dim chops on a regular basis. So
the management of raw materials of those dim chops like potato, eggs will be
the supply chain management of Army IBA canteen. From sourcing the potato
and eggs from the supplier to delivering them to the production department all
are part of supply chain management.

What is organization performance?

Organizational performance is the ability of an organization to reach its goals

and optimize results. In today's workforce, organizational performance can be
defined as a company's ability to achieve goals in a state of constant change.

For example: Army IBA canteen produces dim chops. Their main goal is to
provide best quality food and earning the profit with that product. If they do good
in making the profit as well as serving tasty dim chop then their performance will
be good, otherwise not.
Introduction
Supply Chain Management process: Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing,
Inventory and Transport. These processes are almost same for the small enterprises
and as well as big companies.
Organizational Performance: There could be various types of parameters for
understanding the organizational performances. Such as, financial performance,
product’s market performance and return on investment. Innovation is one part of
the product’s market performance. Previous studies have showed that if an
organization can innovate new features on product then the organizational
performance will grow high.

Methodology
In this paper we have calculated the correlation between Supply Chain
Management practices and organizational performance with Smart PLS tool
by SEM- Structural Equation Modeling and PLS- path modeling method.
Result Analysis
From the results that we get from the research it says that:
 Strategic Partnership with Suppliers SPS had negligible impact on
Organizational Performance. Our H2 was accepted.
 H3 – Hypothesis 3 was not accepted.
 Innovation had a positive influence on OP and accepted H11.
 Innovation significantly mediates the relationship between SPS, LIS, QIS, ISCP,
lean practice, and OP.

Limitations
There are many strengths to the current research, but there are also some
weaknesses.
1. First off, the sample size for the current study was too small, and future studies
must employ larger
samples.
2. Second, future researchers can add more SCM practices using the same mediator
and dependent
variable as the five practices used in the current study. Innovation has been used in
the current
study as a mediating variable between SCMP and OP. Future interactions between
SCMP and OP
between moderating variables (demand uncertainty and strategic aims) are required.
3. H3 was not accepted. The findings are consistent with the work accomplished.
