■ It is large group of interacting people in a defined territory,

■ It is a large group of people who live together in an organized
way, making decisions about how to do things and sharing the
work that needs to be done. All the people in a country, or in
several similar countries, can be referred to as a society: a
classless/multicultural/capitalist/civilized society

School
■ 1 : an organization that provides instruction: such as

■ Starts with the perspectives or theories that provide a
framework to search for the questions and perspectives about
the system of education

– helps in answering different questions to be inquired
by researchers

different phenomena are related to each other

Group Activity
■ Form 7 groups and find a place for your group in
the classroom to work on a given task. List the
members in a ¼ sheet of yellow paper and
submit to the instructor before the performance.
■ The topic of your group work will be the given
research work about sociological perspectives in
education.
Group Activity
■ Your group should perform a creative
presentation of your assigned perspective. It
could be discussion, roleplay, & etc.
■ Thirty minutes will be allotted for group
discussion for preparation and planning of the
presentation; and, each group will be 5 to 10
minutes to perform.

■ Every member of the group must perform any task in
front of the class in their respective presentations.
■ You will be graded using these criteria:
Creativity in Presentation – 20 %
Compliance with the Mechanics – 10 %
Accuracy of Grammar and Language Use – 35%
